At the turn of the Century, Kirby Lumber Company employed over 15,000 people in this area. He owned Lumber Mills, a Railway and a Steamship Line. The massive Spindletop Oil Field was discovered in 1901 and Beaumont, TX was firmly on the map Whether you are staying for a week or much longer, you will be delighted with the warmth and charm of your accomodation in this historic 1912 Vernacular Craftsman Inn. Much is as per original design- it is not a house which has been "cut up" to make the units. It consists of seven apartments, each with its own bath and kitchen. Renovation has retained many of the original fixtures and walls, but we have updated all electrical, plumbing, and added many modern touches. We provide Short Term Corporate Housing, furnished weekly apartments or unfurnished longer term rentals. We can be flexible to your needs! Queen size beds are utilized in most furnished units. |
